The NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) was launched in 2019 by NHS England. This service works to provide patients with access to same-day appointments with their community pharmacists. These appointments are for minor illnesses or an urgent supply of regular medicine, improving access to services and providing more convenient treatment closer to your home and digitally through online consultations and telephone calls. The service helps to alleviate pressure on GP practices and emergency departments, in addition to harnessing the skills and medicines knowledge of pharmacists. Our team at High Street Pharmacy work to provide the NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service in Altrincham and across the UK with telephone and video appointments.
If we find that you as the patient need to be escalated or referred to an alternative service, we can arrange this and point you in the right direction.
The list of what we can treat at High Speed Pharmacy is extensive. We are a modern online pharmacy that offers NHS treatments online and in our consultation room by appointment only so you don’t have to visit your GP for many minor ailments, saving you time.
Some treatments are available on the NHS and others may only be available as private services. But one of our pharmacists will discuss treatment options with you, helping you can make an informed choice.
The benefit to you is the convenience of accessing treatment without having to see your GP first. This means you often don’t have to book an appointment. And even if you do, our Pharmacy does not have the waiting times that many GP surgeries do. Contacting our friendly pharmacy is quicker and easier. Secondly, the NHS benefits. Being able to access treatment for minor conditions through your pharmacy eases the pressure off of GPs and A&E departments. So, you don’t need to visit a GP for hay fever or lower back pain. Or pop into A&E for paracetamol. But don’t worry. Our pharmacists are clinically trained to provide these treatments. Plus, we know when to refer you to your GP or to A&E. This way you know that you’re in the right place to receive the treatment you need.
We have a private consultation room available should you need to visit the premises after your initial consultation.
